Future Stars Academy has continued to strengthen its reputation in youth football development after announcing the Sports Technology Conference set to take place from May 23 to 24, 2026 at the Youth Empowerment Centre grounds located in Burka Olasiti, Arusha, as part of efforts to equip coaches, young players and sports stakeholders with modern football technology knowledge.

Speaking about the conference, the Director of Future Stars Academy, Alfred Itaeli, said this is the right time for Tanzania to move alongside the changing world of sports, which is now heavily focused on data usage, match analysis and modern technologies for talent development.

Itaeli said the conference will give participants an opportunity to learn how technology can become an important tool in improving players’ performance, team development and increasing Tanzania’s competitiveness in international football.

“We want to see Tanzanian youth getting better opportunities to learn, showcase their talents and move alongside the development of modern football worldwide. That is why we continue investing in tournaments and sports education,” said Alfred Itaeli.

He also noted that sports and marketing consultant Kenfrey will be among the key speakers at the event, where he is expected to provide education on performance analysis, sports data and metrics, as well as how technology has transformed football around the world.

Apart from the conference, Future Stars Academy are also the organizers of the East African Chipkizi Cup, a major youth football tournament held every December in Arusha, bringing together more than 300 youth teams from different African countries including Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Gabon and many others.

The tournament has been recognized as one of the biggest youth talent development platforms in East and Central Africa, providing hundreds of young players with an opportunity to showcase their abilities in front of coaches, scouts and sports development stakeholders.

The Sports Technology Conference is expected to run from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with participation fees set at 80,000 Tanzanian shillings, covering lunch and certificates for all attendees.
